We were done, and frankly a little tired, of all the walks and explorations all over Scotland. And so we decided to have some leisure time, you know, like a walk in the park leisure. That was when our Aunt introduced us with this place. It's called the Pollok House and Country Park. The house itself was the sort of house of an earl that caters a lot of employees (maids, cooks, footmen, chauffeurs, etc) exactly like the show in Downton Abbey, if you watch it on the telly. But that was years ago, now it has been open to public as a display of the Edwardian time.
They tried to preserve what's left of the old times so that civilians get to see the actual thing, including their cafe which offers menus from the Edwardian too. The country park is oh-so-nice you do not feel like you want to leave so soon to get back to the real, hassle world that is now.
If you ever plan to come here, I would suggest you to bring some foods for a picnic at the park. And bring along a bicycle or a mini-scooter or even a frisbee to enjoy the weather and scenery and freedom at the park.
